This is the best Blu-Ray out there for my money. I mainly bought it for the VOD services. The reason I bought this model was because of the built in WiFi. The fact it's 3D capable is a bonus, but I have no desire to upgrade the 3D any time soon.Overall Value Build Quality Ease Of Use Style / Design Price
When connected, the player will download the disc info through something called Gracenote. It basically tells you which disc is in your player (for both DVD and Blu-Ray). A very nice little feature.
The player is also capable of playable multi-region DVDs (NOT Blu-Ray).
But to do this you need a URC Universal Remote. Fortunately, I had one lying around from a couple of years ago, and it worked perfectly. (It requires hacking. Quite laborious, but easy enough. Just check out AVForums for a quick guide on how to do it.) Then after you've done it, you're region free! Great!
I heard people complain about noise, but when I only noticed noise when you power it up, but it then quickly subsides.
