After reading many reviews of the Sensia, most of which were dated around it's original launch back in November 2009, my purchase decision was tinged with some minor concerns about usability. However, having made my decision and taken delivery of the Sensia I am more than pleased with it.Style / Design Price Overall Value Build Quality Ease Of Use
The time from taking it out of the box to having it up and running as a straightforward FM and DAB radio was very quick. After playing with the DAB for a while I then entered my home wi-fi details, registered with The Lounge and immediately had access to internet radio. After an even longer time of surfing through the seemingly endless array of stations from around the world, I set about installing the Flowserver software on my main home PC. This was simple to do and once I had pointed the software at my stored MP3's and pictures, I went back to the Sensia.
Just incredible, everything worked. From this small, well designed, great sounding unit I can listen to FM, DAB or internet radio and I can access all of my stored music with a very comprehansive search function and all of this while watching a slideshow of my stored pictures by folder. As if this isn't enough from one small unit, there are currently 3 apps available for displaying the weather in your choice of country/town, Facebook and Twitter.
The setup and operation of the Sensia are simple and intuitive. The screen display is sharp, clear and bright. The sound quality is excellent even if the addition of a graphic equaliser would be good to allow for personal taste.
I am looking forward to the release of the SDK to enable other apps to be developed and further enhance an already amazing piece of kit.
The Sensia was originally purchased for use in the kitchen but with it being a portable device it is now finding it's way around to other parts of the house.
Overall, a great device for a price that given the host of features and uses is not too over the top.
